Description

"There is a mystical energy in Paris. It feels as if over the centuries, the people living in Paris have left a collective imprint of their vibrant energy, a sort of invisible plume which continues to animate life in Paris today."

Explore the mystery, enchantment, and echoes of the past in one of the world's most famous cities in Adrienne Michel Sager's "Paris: Extraordinary Moments."

Relive the moment a driver exits his city bus during a torrential downpour to pound on her window and give her a message; experience her daring discovery of an archaeological dig hidden beneath a Paris post office; follow her trail as she seeks the remnants of the original wall of Paris in lost passages, strange places, and secret spaces.

Through vibrant essays, insightful narratives, interviews with renowned Parisians and thirteen of her previously published magazine articles on Parisian history and culture, Sager masterfully weaves together a grand tapestry of the City of Light.
