Book Club - rough house by Tina Ontiveros (*with the author!)

VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB

The very first online Port Book and News Book Club is ready for signups! We will have two sessions for each book. They will be held at 7pm on the third Wednesday and on the third Saturday in the month. Space will be limited to ten for each zoom session. If you would like to sign up, please call the store to secure your spot at 360.452.6367. In January, our first title will be rough house: a memoir by Tina Ontiveros. According to Ms. Ontiveros' own website, rough house is "a memoir of family, addiction, violence, and redemption set in the rural spaces of the Pacific Northwest. Ontiveros follows her logger father as he migrates across his wooded territory, cobbling together shelters for his family, burning bridges, and forever starting over."  The setting will be a familiar one for our local readers here on the Olympic Peninsula. As always, all Book Club titles will be 20% off.

We are extremely excited to announce that Tina will be joining us for our Wednesday session (Jan 20th) for our book club. To learn more about the author, please visit her website. You can also watch the book trailer. We do hope you'll join us!
