This book will show you how to go and see many of those places and give you some idea of what you might experience once you get there.Included are brief profiles of about 220 destinations, 344 maps, 70 illustrations, innumerable facts, and more than a few opinions formed during thirty-plus years of exploring Indiana. Each destination profile includes GPS coordinates, detailed driving directions, a finder map, and a brief narrative description. Trail sketches accompany more than 120 of the destination accounts.Wild Indiana is a sampler, not a complete directory of the state's natural areas. Thankfully, Indiana has so many interesting destinations that a person might wish for several lifetimes just to explore them all, and numerous organizations are constantly adding to the inventory.
